Baptism

My sister-in-law Karen was taking pictures for us and
once Kinsie spotted her she turned on the smiles!

There are so many moments that make me stop and think just how blessed I am and yesterday was definitely one of them. On Sunday Caden and Kinsie, along with my nephew Adden and my cousin's children, Hayden and Laurel, were baptized at the Faith Presbyterian Church in Tingley. The minister that I grew up with and who also officiated when Cass and I were married, conducted the service, which was very important to us. My grandmother and my parents also took part in the service. For those of you who are familiar with Tingley you know that the church is very small and most of the congregation was comprised of our family members! It was a wonderful day and we were very fortunate to be surrounded with so much of our family.

Our Growing Girl

Kinsie had her 15 month well-baby visit today. Our little lady did such a great job and the doctor commented on how mature she was acting for her actual age...we always knew she was a bright one :0) She measures 30 1/2 inches in length and weighs 21 lbs., 13 oz. She endured four shots and the doctor also diagnosed her with a double ear infection, with one of the ears being very infected. Despite the usual cold symptoms, she has not been showing any signs that she was feeling ill so I feel so bad for her and am very glad that we had the appointment today! The good news is that she thinks the pink bubblegum amoxicillan is very tasty so we won't be having any trouble with getting her to take her medicine!

Rub-A-Dub-Dub

Bath time is one of the highlights of the evening at our house! Caden and Kinsie would stay in the water until it was no longer warm if we allowed them to! Lately their toys of choice have been shaving cream and tupperware containers...once again, the regular household items are more fun to play with than the actual toys!

The Rice Krispie Treat Bandit

Kinsie has discovered that she really likes the taste of rice krispie treats and unfortunately, she has also discovered where the box of them is in the pantry! She has been helping herself to the treats and then brings them to us to be opened. Tonight she was able to get the entire box out and then worked until she was able to get herself a treat! As you can see she was very proud of herself when she finally pulled out one of the bars!

3 Year Check-Up

Caden had his three year check-up this week on Monday. He was very excited about the fact that he did not have to endure any shots this visit (although he wasn't so sure about watching mommy get a flu shot)! He is very healthy and has grown five inches in the past year, which has been very evident to us as he keeps outgrowing his pants in length!
