Cuddle Buddies

Just some cute pics of our sweeties first thing in the morning!
A rare time when they are both sitting still!

A Visit From the Cousins

Tory and Brandi had some shopping to do last night in Des Moines, so Addison, Adler and Adden spent the evening with us. The kids always have a great time playing together and it's fun to watch them interact with each other. I tried to get some good pictures, but the five of them were all so busy and in constant motion that most of the photos turned out blurry!!

Good Friends

We ate dinner and spent the evening with our good friends Brian, Katie, Jack and Charlie Coen last night. We always have a great time when we are together and the kids have a lot of fun playing with each other. We joke that we could not have planned it better that our children are so close in age...Jack is five weeks older than Caden and Kinsie is seven weeks older than Charlie! There was no planning to it, but we are so glad it worked out that way!
Thanks for a great evening, Coen's!

Kinsie loved driving Charlie's big truck around. She preferred entering it through the back window and became quite possessive of it, even instructing Charlie to move over so she could get in...and when I say instructed, I mean she crawled in and pushed him out! Sorry Charlie!

Brian and Kinsie jammin' on the guitar.

Creative Thinking...

Caden has been slowly decreasing the number of naps that he takes throughout the week. This is a big adjustment for mommy, who really enjoys the quiet of nap time! I have also been trying to come up with some activities that we can do while Kinsie is napping. Due to the frigid temperatures we couldn't play outside this afternoon so I decided to bring the snow inside to play. Caden thought this was a great idea and had a lot of fun playing with it!
On another note...Caden thought it would be fun this morning to take a ride down our stairs in a laundry basket. Fortunately, I caught him sitting in it at the top of the stairs trying to inch it forward...I guess he was just trying to bring sledding indoors too!

Sledding

Our nephew Luke came over this morning and he and Caden had a great time playing in the snow! The lot behind our house is empty, so it makes a nice sledding hill for them!

ABC's

Kinsie's vocabulary has grown tremendously over the past few months and she has also started forming small sentences. Just last night we were playing Peek-a-Boo and when I said "Peek-a-Boo" she responded with "I see you!". She is also very interested in where everyone is and likes to ask "Where is...". Cass thought it would be funny to teach her to say "why" last night...I hope that trend does not catch on for a bit longer!

I caught her singing her ABC's this morning...she was also very interested in the kitchen timer that Caden was playing with so she was a bit distracted!
