Story Time

Each Thursday Kinsie and I have the opportunity to enjoy a toddler story time at our local library. Miss Erin does an excellent job with the children singing songs, reading books, and acting out stories. Kinsie absolutely loves it and it is fun to see her learning new things! There were not very many children in attendance today, so I had the opportunity to take some pictures and video.

From Snow to Sun

I haven't had a chance to update our blog for a week or two, so I wanted to include some good photos that Cass took while we were playing in the snow on Valentine's Day.

The weather was beautiful yesterday so Caden, Kinsie and I spent some time at the park.

We had a lot of fun and I can't wait for it to warm-up again so we can spend more time outside!

Valentine's Day Party

Caden celebrated Valentine's Day at preschool today with his friends. He had a lot of fun passing out the Spiderman valentines that he made for all of his friends, and ofcourse, was very excited to open up his own bag of goodies!

Beautiful Day!

The weather today is absolutely beautiful! It is so nice to spend some time in the fresh air! Caden played outside at preschool today and then he and Kinsie enjoyed some time in the sandbox before lunch today. We will definitely be going outside after they wake up from napping!

A Good Day

Tory, Brandi, Addison, Adler and Adden spent the day with us today. Tory and Cass took the boys to a farm toy show at Living History Farms this morning...both of the boys came home with some new toys so they spent the afternoon "farming" and having "tractor pulls". Since it was such a nice day Addison and I took Kinsie and Adden for a walk while the boys were gone...they both loved it and were so happy to be outside! Today was also Adden's first birthday so we celebrated by having dinner at the Iowa Machine Shed restaurant. Caden was thrilled about this because it is his favorite restaurant...imagine that!

Caden's favorite part of the Machine Shed is the coleslaw...as you can tell by his empty plate! When our waiter brought our dinner Caden quietly let him know that the bowl of coleslaw was empty and that we should probably have some more...this was after he had already eaten three helpings!

When I was putting Caden to bed tonight we were talking about everything he had done and how much fun he had with his cousins. He said "Mommy, it was a good day!". I would have to agree with him!

18 Months Old

It is hard to believe that our little sweetie is 18 months old! Kinsie makes us laugh every day and delights us with all of the new things that she is learning. Her vocabulary is constantly growing and she has also started putting small sentences together. She will count along to ten, can sing her ABC's and recently learned to gallop while imitating her big brother. She is also showing early signs of potty training by telling us when she is trying to go...we are very hopeful that this means it will be an easy transition! Grandma Terry describes her as a "bundle of determination"...we like to say she is sassy! But we would not have her any other way!
