Fishin' & Four Wheelin'

We spent this past weekend at the farm with our family. Despite the unpredictable weather, Caden and Kinsie were able to spend some quality time outside, which they loved! On Saturday Papa Curt, Grandpa Bob, Tory and Cass took the kids fishing at Uncle Mel's pond. In the morning Cass, Papa Curt and Caden took the boat out, which was Caden's first experience in a boat. After lunch they all returned to the pond and did some fishing from the island. While they were all out fishing I had the opportunity to spend the afternoon with my mom, Grandma Rena and Brandi in the air conditioning!!

This-N-That

I am not sure where the past few weeks have gone and as a result, my blogging has suffered! Here are some pictures to catch up on the end of May and the start of June!

This is a picture of Caden on his last day of preschool for this school year. It has been so much fun watching his progress throughout this past year...one of his greatest accomplishments is being able to write his own name! His class hosted a very nice program where the children sang songs that they had learned throughout the year and also displayed some of their artwork to share with their guests. Following the program there was a reception for everyone. It was a fun morning for us and Caden was very excited to have Grandma Terry there too!
May also brought the end of the Spring session of flag football. The above picture is of Caden's team shaking hands with their opponents on the day of the last game. Below is a picture of Caden receiving his medal for participating in the program (he has his back to the camera).

Yesterday we took a trip to the Blank Park Zoo. Caden and Kinsie were both excited to see all of the animals, but Caden was most excited to visit the petting zoo! He loved feeding the goats! They both also enjoyed feeding the fish and the ducks in the pond.

Two weeks ago brought our first emergency visit to urgent care :0( Caden took an unfortunate fall from the monkey rings on our swingset and broke the radius bone in his left arm. The orthopaedic physician fitted him with a brace that he has to wear all of the time. He will return to the physician in two more weeks when they will take another set of x-rays to see how the bone is healing. He has been such a big boy about all of it and never complains about the brace or any pain in his arm.

And here is a new picture of our little miss! May also brought the end of Kinsie's tumbling class, which she loved! I am hoping to enroll her in a more structured course in the fall because she is all about her gymnastics!
