Fall Photos

These are some of my favorite photos that our good friend Katie took for us!
Caden (age 4.5), Kinsie (age 3) and Kinley (2 months)

Kinley at 2 Months!

Kinley is two months old!
Time is going by so quickly and it is amazing to see how much our sweet baby is growing and changing! At her two month well baby check-up this week she weighed 10 lbs., 11 oz. and measured 21 1/2 inches in length. She is a very happy and content little girl who is full of smiles, is very strong and can hold her head up for long periods of time, is beginning to kick her legs and move her arms a lot more, is awake for longer periods of time during the day and usually only wakes up once each night, is very alert and observant of things around her and is still just as precious to her brother and sister as the day we welcomed her home!
Our wonderful friend Katie recently came over to take some pictures of all three of the kids. These are a few of the beautiful photos that she captured of Kinley. Thanks, Katie!

Preschool

Yesterday was a big day at the Shay house!
Kinsie started her first year in 3 year-old preschool and Caden started 4 year-old preschool! They are going to the same school and both had a great first day! There weren't even any tears...although mommy was a little choked up!

August/September

Time has gotten away from me again with updating our blog!
Here are some pictures from the end of August and the first of September!

Cass and his brother Roby participated in their first BBQ competition the last weekend in August. They had a great time and took second place over all in the Madison County BBQ Shootout!
The youngest member of the 2Shay BBQ team!

On the first evening of the competition a live band entertained the competitors and visitors at the fairgrounds where the competition was held.

Little Miss Bright Eyes!

Caden and Kinsie are very anxious for Kinley to be able to play with them.
I found them introducing her to tractors while she was laying on the floor!
One night at bed time Caden was having a difficult time going to sleep and really wanted to sleep in our bed. When we left him he was in his own bed, but when Cass and I went upstairs later we found him sound asleep underneath our bed!

Kinsie recently started a gymnastics class at Jacobs Gymnastics.
She loves moving through the different stations each week,
with the balance beam being her favorite so far!
Kinley attended her first ISU Cyclones football game on Thursday, September 2nd!
Our newest Cyclone fan!

Kinley has become much more alert in the past few weeks and we have noticed how things are catching her eye a lot more now. In this picture she was hanging out in her swing while we were getting Caden and Kinsie ready for bed and she noticed her reflection in the mirror above her!
